About us
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) form a core part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by the United Nations in 2015. This global initiative comprises 17 interconnected goals and 169 targets aimed at addressing the most pressing social, economic, and environmental challenges facing humanity. The SDGs cover such key areas as poverty reduction, quality education, gender equality, climate action, protection of natural resources, and the building of peaceful and resilient societies.
The National Pedagogical University of Uzbekistan Named after Nizami regards support for the Sustainable Development Goals as one of the priority directions of its institutional activity. The university advances the ideas of sustainable development through its educational process, research activities, and social initiatives. Integrating the principles of sustainable development into academic programs, cultivating ecological and social responsibility among students, and supporting research directed at the sustainable development of society are central directions of the university's work.
The university places particular emphasis on developing in students a deep understanding of sustainable development ideas, preparing socially responsible specialists, and encouraging their active engagement in addressing global challenges.
