University Representatives Visit Germany

As part of the Mehrli Maktab (School of Compassion) project, a series of training seminars were held for teachers from Uzbekistan’s hospital schools and the National Pedagogical University of Uzbekistan named after Nizami. The seminars featured experts from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU), specialised educational centres for children with special educational needs, and the hospital school at Schwabing Hospital.

The Uzbek specialists explored Germany’s experience in organising education for children undergoing long-term medical treatment and creating inclusive learning environments for students with special educational needs, including children on the autism spectrum and those with behavioural differences. Particular attention was paid to the individualisation of the learning process and the reintegration of students into mainstream schools.

The visit provided an opportunity to present Uzbekistan’s national model of hospital education, gain insights into contemporary educational practices in Germany, and discuss prospects for international cooperation in research and academic activities.
