Prospects for Cooperation in Foreign Language Teaching Discussed
Hilola Umarova, Rector of Nizami State Pedagogical University of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with the Senior Vice President for Commercial Strategy of Efekta.
During the meeting, Hilola Umarova noted that the company’s AI-powered English language learning platform was of significant interest and proposed using this technology in the training of future teachers, in particular, by piloting the platform at the university.
The participants also exchanged views on the implementation of joint initiatives in AI-powered language learning technologies, English language teaching methodology, and the development of digital skills among future teachers.
In particular, the following areas of cooperation were discussed:
- organizing professional development programmes for faculty members of pedagogical higher education institutions on the use of Efekta technologies and AI-powered language teaching methodologies;
- establishing, in cooperation with Efekta and using the facilities of the new building, a dedicated space or laboratory for demonstrating and piloting modern language teaching technologies;
- jointly developing specialized digital content and methodological materials for teacher education, as well as launching joint programmes focused on the effective use of artificial intelligence in the educational process;
- if the pilot projects produce positive results, exploring prospects for gradually expanding this experience to other pedagogical higher education institutions across the country.
